Last week, WellSpan physicians gave Steve Shimkonis the Watchman FLX implant to help control his risk of stroke due to atrial fibrillation (A-fib). The procedure at WellSpan York Hospital was the first to happen in Pennsylvania. The Heart & Vascular team used remote camera technology and a 4D CT scanner to precisely, and safely, implant the new device.
