She was best known for her comedic roles in such films as Blazing Saddles, Paper Moon, Young Frankenstein, History of the World, Part I, What's Up, Doc?, and Clue. Kahn made her Broadway debut in Leonard Sillman's New Faces of 1968, and received the first of four Tony Award nominations for the 1973 play In the Boom Boom Room. She received subsequent nominations for the original production of the musical On the Twentieth Century (1978) and the revival of the play Born Yesterday (1989), before win
