Recently, CDFW showcased the California Inland Recreational Angler Survey (CIRAS) at the most recent Sacramento - Fishing in the City event. CIRAS provides the public with helpful fishing information to plan their next fishing trip driven by data submitted by anglers. Data submitted by anglers can include the species of fish caught, catch size and overall angling experience from a single fishing trip that in turn is used by other anglers.
