Paul Newman met Joanne Woodward circa 1953 on Broadway in New York. They reunited in 1957 on the set of The Long, Hot Summer in Louisiana. Love bloomed. They married in Las Vegas on January 29, 1958. They settled in Westport, Connecticut. Newman won an Oscar in 1987 for The Color of Money. Woodward won hers in 1958 for The Three Faces of Eve. They raised three daughters.
