UT adopted the longhorn in 1917, and the rest is Bevo history. But long before longhorns, Ice Age giants like 𝘉𝘪𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘲𝘶𝘶𝘴 roamed Texas prairies, shaping the landscape. This extinct species was a powerhouse, about 25% bigger than today’s bison.
