The V&A Gallery in Shenzhen opens today! It forms part of Design Society, China's first cultural hub dedicated to design, and will be situated in a brand new building by Japanese architect Fumihiko Maki in the vibrant and fast-moving design city of Shenzhen. Our pioneering collaboration with China Merchants Shekou Holdings is a first between a UK museum and a Chinese partner, and we're hugely proud to have helped establish and develop this world-class new design cultural hub.
