The Pinch isn’t Edelrid’s only “new” belay device this year. They also refreshed the MegaJul! This one is a bit less exciting than some of their product refreshes. Here is a rundown: ✨The brake assistance should be a bit stronger. ✨The guide eye and thumb loop are a little bigger. ✨It got ~7 grams heavier according to our scale, Edelrid says it is 10 grams heavier. ✨It is only rated for ropes up to 10 mm in diameter, instead of 10.5 mm like the old one.
