Nuri Bilge Ceylan (Turkish: [ˈnuːɾi ˈbilɟe ˈdʒejlan]; born 26 January 1959) is a Turkish director, screenwriter, photographer and actor.

Nuri Bilge Ceylan, ilkokul beşi, ortaokulu ve liseyi Bakırköy'de devlet okullarında okur. Ama yaz tatillerinin bir kısmını genellikle Yenice'de geçirmeyi tercih eder. Liseden sonra, 1976 yılında, İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi Kimya Mühendisliği bölümüne girer.

Competing at the 61st Cannes Film Festival with his 2008 film ÜÇ MAYMUN (Three Monkeys), Nuri Bilge won the Best Director award. ÜÇ MAYMUN later went on to become the first Turkish film to make the Oscar shortlist in the Academy Awards Foreign Language Film category.
