President Donald Trump and the Russian leader met in Alaska on Friday to discuss how they could end the conflict in Ukraine.

President Vladimir Putin spoke to the leaders of Belarus and Kazakhstan on Sunday to update them on the summit with U.S. President Donald Trump which the Kremlin has cast as a potentially significant stepping stone towards peace in Ukraine.

President Trump was joined in the Oval Office on Monday by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders, just days after a face-to-face summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
