The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are working toward a new contract for wide receiver Chris Godwin as general manager Jason Licht and head coach Todd Bowles rained praise on him when speaking to reporters at the scouting combine Tuesday in Indianapolis.

Bucs GM Jason Licht said Tuesday at the NFL Combine that he's hopeful Tampa Bay and WR Chris Godwin can come to an agreement on an extension.

Former Penn State WR Chris Godwin may have played his last game as a Tampa Bay Buccaneer, and although GM Jason Licht hopes that isn’t the case, he knows it might be. Godwin, a 28-year-old who has spent all eight NFL seasons with Tampa Bay,
