Hunters are graded by their innate abilities and thus are stuck in their ranks for life. Or so they thought. The story centers on Sung Jinwoo, who is described as a “weak" E-rank hunter at the beginning of the story, but who climbs his way up the ranks after gaining extraordinary powers following a near-death experience.

Byeon Woo-seok is set to take on the lead role of Jinwoo in Netflix’s freshly announced live-action adaptation of Solo Leveling. While we’ve got no further details on the project as of yet, the anime’s success means the K-drama will likely enter the ranks of the best Netflix shows of all time.

The streaming giant continues its push into high-end Korean genre fare with a live-action remake of the blockbuster webtoon and anime hit.
