Tottenham Hotspur have announced that centre-back Cristian Romero has signed a new "long-term" contract with the club.

Thomas Frank hopes Cristian Romero will sign a new contract at Tottenham after being named club captain. Romero was one of the vice-captains last season and has now taken over the armband following Heung-min Son's move to LAFC.
