Paul Finebaum said Georgia would be in trouble with Gunner Stockton as their starting quarterback this season, but so fare Stockton has proven him wrong.
Though Georgia's defense got tossed around for a majority of its Week 8 game against Ole Miss, the Bulldogs buckled down and made the stops they had to to secure a 35-33 win against the Rebels. After surrendering a touchdown on each of Ole Miss' first five drives, the Bulldogs did not let Ole Miss score in the fourth quarter.
Young suffered an injury on Georgia’s opening drive of the game when he hauled in a 36-yard pass from Gunner Stockton on the flea flicker. Young exited the game shortly after the play and did not return.
The No. 5 Ole Miss Rebels, led by quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, face the No. 9 Georgia Bulldogs, led by quarterback Gunner Stockton, on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025 at Sanford Stadium in Athens, Ga.
