The Miami Dolphins could really use a cornerback, but they won't be adding team legend Xavien Howard. Instead, Howard is signing with the Indianapolis Colts, who the Dolphins face Week 1 of this NFL regular season.

Former Miami Dolphins cornerback Xavien Howard did not play football in 2024, but the 32-year-old veteran has decided to make a return to the game he loves for the 2025 NFL season. According to ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Indianapolis Colts have agreed to terms with Howard. David Canter, Howard’s agent, has confirmed the signing.

The 32-year-old cornerback was cut by the Miami Dolphins in February 2024 and did not play last year after suffering multiple injuries leading up to his release.
