Can Doctor Doom beat Thanos? It's an increasingly common question among Marvel fans, with Robert Downey, Jr.'s Doctor Doom set to inherit the title of the greatest enemy of the Avengers from Josh Brolin's Mad Titan, the almighty Thanos.

Marvel Studios returned to San Diego Comic-Con with dancing Deadpool variants and a choir for a panel that included news about the next two “Avengers” films and surprise guests, including Harrison Ford and Robert Downey Jr.

Anthony Mackie's Cap will now face off against Doctor Doom in Avengers: Doomsday with a new team of Avengers, although the other heroes comprising the latest iteration of the Avengers are still to be confirmed.
