A multiple-missile attack by Yemen's Houthi rebels on two US warships has been thwarted, the Pentagon has said. At least eight drones, five anti-ship ballistic missiles and three anti-ship cruise missiles were aimed at the USS Stockdale and the USS Spruance on Monday.

The US carried out a series of strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen late Saturday evening, according to a US defense official, targeting numerous weapons storage facilities across at least three locations.

The Pentagon confirmed Houthi fighters launched multiple drones and missiles at US warships USS Stockdale and USS Spruance near Yemen. All attacks were successfully repelled with no damages or casualties.
