Postal services in Japan and Switzerland are the latest to pause shipments to the United States, days before an exemption for certain import taxes expires.

Postal services across the globe will pause carrying some or all U.S.-bound packages after the Trump administration ended a long-standing tax exemption.

Many European shipping companies say they're unable to guarantee shipments will arrive before the new rules are in place on August 29.
