The 2025 college football season has officially surpassed the midway point of the regular season after the conclusion of a thrilling Week 8 slate. Among the games that will shape the College Football Playoff picture was the final matchup between No. 13 Notre Dame and No. 20 USC for the foreseeable future.
Multiple highly ranked teams went down on Saturday as Texas dominated No. 6 Oklahoma, 23-6, in the Red River Rivalry and No. 7 Indiana went on the road and stunned No. 3 Oregon, 30-20, in a statement win. Unranked USC also emphatically beat No. 15 Michigan, 31-13, in Los Angeles.
