Microsoft delays the price announcement for the ASUS ROG Xbox Ally and Xbox Ally X despite revealing more information about the handhelds at Gamescom.

The slow drip of information about the long-awaited Asus ROG Xbox Ally and Ally X handheld gaming PCs is eroding my wits. For Gamescom 2025, the droplet is Oct. 16 as the official availability date, confirming the rumors.

Asus and Xbox have introduced a ROG Ally Certified program that will help players discern what will work on the upcoming handheld, and what won't.

According to the VP, Microsoft envisions players having options like the Xbox ROG Ally for when they're on the move, and dedicated hardware when they come home that'll allow them to pick up from right where they left off.
