The National Hurricane Center (NHC) says a tropical or subtropical depression could form near the southeastern United States later today or over the weekend.

The potential for heavy rain and tropical activity on July 4th and through the weekend means the First Warning Weather team is calling for Impact Weather July 4-5. A very wet weather pattern is expected this holiday weekend, with the risk of heavy rain that could lead to flooding each day.
