LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) — Sixth-year senior Jalon Daniels threw for 176 yards and three touchdowns, two of them to newcomer Cam Pickett, and Kansas opened its rebuilt, $450 million on-campus stadium with a 31-7 rout of Fresno State on Saturday.

The start of the 2025 season for the Fresno State Bulldogs is off with a dud. Three turnovers, 37 rushing yards, and just seven points were the epitome of the Bulldogs offense in game one, a 31-7 loss to Kansas.

The University of Kansas football team started its “new era” with a bang on Saturday. The Jayhawks dominated Fresno State in the newly renovated David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium and earned a dominant victory. KU coach Lance Leipold liked what he saw from his squad.
