The candidates faced off in a final mayoral debate at LaGuardia Community College in Long Island City, Queens.
The New York City mayoral election will be held on November 4, where Mamdani will face independent candidate Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa.
Curtis Sliwa, the Republican nominee for New York City mayor, has resigned from his post as a radio host over a spat with colleagues about whether he should quit the race.
