Teravainen gave the Blackhawks a 1-0 lead at 19:49 of the first period on the power play. He picked up the rebound of a shot from the slot by Ryan Donato after it went off Tyler Bertuzzi in front and put the puck into the upper part of the net with a wrist shot. It was his 500th NHL point.

Blackhawks GM Kyle Davidson has no interest in retaining half of Jones’ salary for five years. Jones’ contract helps the Blackhawks reach the salary floor and is going up to $70.6 million next year, followed by $76.9 and then $83.9 million.
