An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6 struck the southeastern portion of Hawaii's Big Island Wednesday night just before midnight local time, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

Multiple earthquakes struck near Gilroy and shook the South Bay Wednesday morning, the strongest being a 4.0 magnitude, followed by several aftershocks minutes later, according to the USGS.
