National Weather Service locations across Texas have forecast totals from a half-inch to five inches of snow between Monday and Tuesday.

Texas has experienced above-average temperatures lately, but that could change this weekend amid a cold front with chances of snow.
According to NWS, a blizzard warning remains in effect until 11 p.m. Monday for Guadalupe Mountains of West Texas and Southeast New Mexico. Forecasters say total snow accumulations could be between 3 and 6 inches. Winds gusts could as go as high as 50 mph.

After record-breaking heat during Christmas across much of Texas, conditions have turned much colder during the final days of 2025.
Farther south, impacts will be less dramatic. By the time the front reaches Central and Southeast Texas, much of its punch will have weakened. Still, Texans farther south can expect a cooler, breezier weekend, even if winter weather stays well to the north.
Snow is officially falling in Texas. A winter system has impacted the region near Midland/Odessa, and brought snowfall Monday, December 29, according to the National Weather Service (NWS). In a social media post, folks at the National Weather Service shared video of snow falling outside their offices.
