Joey Daccord outdueled Winnipeg's Connor Hellebuyck, earning a shutout as the Kraken beat the reigning Presidents' Trophy winner on Thursday night.

Goaltenders have ups and downs throughout the season. Take Seattle's Joey Daccord, for example. Daccord got pulled late in the second period of a 5-2 loss Monday at Philadelphia after allowing five goals on 21 shots, then sat and watched from the press box the next night as Matt Murray made his Kraken debut in a 4-1 defeat at Washington.

The Winnipeg Jets’ five-game win streak came to an end Thursday night in a 3-0 shutout loss to the Seattle Kraken. Despite controlling stretches of play, the Jets couldn’t solve Joey Daccord, who stopped all 32 shots.

The injury-riddled Kraken fell behind by three goals after two periods and never threatened the Capitals in a 4-1 loss on the road, their second straight, on Tuesday.
