Max Verstappen: "We had a difficult start to the race, having little grip on our side of the grid. We opted for the Soft compound for a better launch and to try and get to P1 but it didn't happen for us unfortunately.
McLaren's stated performance for the W1 includes a zero to 60 mph time of 2.7 seconds and a top speed capped at 217 mph. Perhaps the craziest figure, though, is the car's claimed zero to 124 mph acceleration in just 5.8 seconds.
