Agriculture student Bipin Joshi, 22, was kidnapped during the Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel, which also left 10 Nepali students dead and six injured.

The body of Nepali student Bipin Joshi, held captive by Hamas for nearly two years, has been repatriated to Kathmandu. Prime Minister Sushila Karki honours his bravery as final rites are planned in Kanchanpur.

The Indian Ministry of Home Affairs has clarified that Indian immigration authorities had no involvement in the recent incident involving Nepali citizen Shambhavi Adhikari, who was reportedly stopped at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) while transiting to Berlin.

Bipin Joshi, 23, an agricultural student from Mahendranagar in southwestern Nepal, was kidnapped from Kibbutz Alumim on October 7 and slain in captivity.
