JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man has been arrested after police tied him to the murder of a man in the Baymeadows area, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. In a release from JSO, the department says they arrested 42-year-old Mark Gordon in connection to the murder of 30-year-old Trevian Jackson on Oct. 4, 2025.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said it is responding to a fire in the Brooklyn area. It’s happening at the Florida Blue building at 532 Riverside Avenue. JFRD said preliminary information indicates that the fire is in the elevator shaft. There is no reports of anyone injured or trapped at this time, JFRD said.
