With Election Day in New York City just 11 days away, Mayor Eric Adams has endorsed former Gov. Andrew Cuomo after dropping out of the race last month.

The Cuomo campaign’s decision to attach itself to the online right comes after new polling has shown that if GOP nominee Curtis Sliwa were to drop out, the race between Cuomo and Mamdani would be tighter. Cuomo, a registered Democrat, is running in the Independent lane after failing to beat Mamdani in the Democratic primary.

Democratic frontrunner for New York City mayor Zohran Mamdani joined FOX 5 NY's Morgan McKay on Oct. 24 for Politics Unusual.

"I will not be a mayor like Mayor Adams who will call you to figure out how to stay out of jail," Mamdani said.

Even as Mr. Cuomo has ramped up attacks against the front-runner, Zohran Mamdani, and repeated calls for Curtis Sliwa to drop out, he plans to retain last week’s debate strategy.
