Amazon opened its new delivery station Oct. 16, in a custom-built facility that stands at the same site as the old mall. Instead of dozens of shops with neon signs dotting the landscape and the smells drifting in from the food court, the Amazon facility is a fast-paced, bustling atmosphere, and shoppers are nowhere to be found.

Amazon has finally opened a new city for its drone delivery program, Prime Air. Normally, the company does one city after another, just testing, but recently ended its testing in Lockeford, California.

Amazon said the Federal Aviation Administration’s approval includes permission to fly the MK30 over longer distances and beyond the visual line of sight of pilots.

Amazon says that it's begun drone-based deliveries in the West Valley Phoenix Metro Area for eligible customers.

Customers in the Tolleson, Arizona area can now receive eligible items weighing up to 5 pounds via drone in less than an hour.
