The SUV looks like an iX5 M70 that could battle the Lotus Eletre and Porsche Cayenne Electric. BMW is sticking with the CLAR platform for the X5 rather than moving to Neue Klasse architecture.

The EREV system is said to provide up to 621 miles (1,000 km) of combined range. If true, this means all of BMW's larger electric SUVs will likely get an EREV option.
