UAB continues ‘blazing’ win streak, beating Wichita State 80-72
UAB left “The Roundhouse” winners of seven of their last eight games after Wichita State, 80-72. The Blazers are now 19-9 overall with a 12-3 conference record. The Shockers’ six-game win streak came to an end as Blazer guard Alejandro Vasquez tied his career-high in points and led the game with 29 points on 11-of-22 shooting.

The loss snapped WSU’s 6-game winning streak, as the Shockers (17-11) dropped to 7-8 in conference play. Meanwhile, the Blazers (19-9, 12-3 AAC) stayed in the race for the AAC regular-season title — one game back from Memphis.
