Steve Witkoff says Vladimir Putin agreed at his summit with Donald Trump to allow the U.S. and European allies to offer Ukraine a security guarantee resembling NATO’s collective defense mandate.
Trump promised during his campaign that he would end Russia’s war on Ukraine on his first day back in office, which is now 207 days ago.
Trump will be accompanied by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff on Air Force One for his flight to Alaska for his meeting with President Putin, the White House said.
