AUSTIN — Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte will receive a six-year contract extension through 2036 that will give him a raise to $2.9 million in 2026 and eventually pay him $4.25 million in the final year, pending approval by the school’s Board of Regents this week.

The contract extension is pending approval from Board of Regents either Wednesday or Thursday, during their regularly-scheduled meeting. Del Conte has been with Texas Athletics since 2017, following his departure from Texas Christian University. His contract was previously extended in 2019, through 2027.
