Renato Veiga will become Chelsea ’s 11th first-team departure of the summer after he agreed a move to Villarreal. He leaves the Blues for a fee of around €30million, and Standard Sport understands Chelsea have included a sell-on clause in the deal. It is a club-record signing for the Spanish outfit.

Chelsea have reached an agreement to sell Renato Veiga to Villarreal, according to reports. Veiga joined Chelsea on a seven-year contract from FC Basel just 12 months ago, for a fee thought to be in the region of £12million.

The 21-year-old joined Chelsea from Basel for €14m last summer, signing a contract until 2031 and spending four months on loan at Juventus.
