We drove all over the island and this ended up being our favorite beach, it was close to our rental house, we could watch the turtles come in at night, the sand was glorious, sunsets beautiful, snork… Full review by Teakellie6

It was a delight to see so many giant sea turtles coming ashore to sleep! They kept coming and coming! Once they plopped down, they went to sleep! The crowd kept at least 10 feet away. Full review by Carolyn L

Yes, people can park overnight & camp no problem. Or just park overnight. Watch the weather. If heavy rain, road will fill up with water & mud.

We had rented a car for our stay so I am not sure of the cost if too expensive there must be a public beach in Lihue somewhere. When in Hawaii go swimming!! Good Luck
